Social Engagement
—
Screenings of “Tre Maison Dasan,” paired with our workshops and structured discourse have proven to be transformative experiences for millions of viewers across the country.
In prisons, schools, community centers, libraries, re-entry programs, law schools, judicial retreats, and conferences across the US - Tre, Maison, and Dasan’s stories are a catalyst for dramatic cultural change around mass incarceration, parenthood, boyhood, criminal justice, and supportive community-building.
The Tre Maison Dasan Engagement Project seeks to -
EMPOWER KIDS…
to communicate with their parents and caregivers in new, transformative ways that can reshape their relationships and give them agency in their experience; and ERASE THE STIGMA that surrounds children whose families are affected by incarceration.
IMPROVE SUPPORT SYSTEMS FOR FAMILIES…
and to implement new programming that emphasizes the need for access and meaningful contact between parents and children
BEGIN THERAPEUTIC HEALING…
for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people that can strengthen family bonds, promote reconnection and responsibility, and provide tools with which to re-enter their families and communities as empowered agents of their own outcomes.
NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP TO KEEP THIS PROVEN TRANSFORMATIVE CHANGE HAPPENING!
Please consider making a donation to the “Tre Maison Dasan” Engagement Project so that we can continue supporting this work through the year. The film is finished, but the work has only just begun!
